Student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a strong focus on baseball operations, scouting, and analytics. Organized, adaptable, and experienced in leveraging data to enhance performance. Dedicated team player with a proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Hi, I’m Myles Harp, a fifth-year student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a lifelong passion for baseball and a focus on analytics and player development. Since joining the Baseball Operations team in September 2022, I’ve gained hands-on experience with tools like TrackMan, BATS, Synergy, TruMedia, and KinaTrax. I use these technologies to transform raw data into actionable insights, supporting players and coaches in making performance-driven decisions. Whether tagging games, building detailed reports in R and Tableau, or setting up tech for player development, I thrive on being part of the process that helps the team succeed.
In the summer of 2025, I had the opportunity to work with the Santa Barbara Foresters under legendary coach Bill Pintard. As the Scouting and Analytics Intern, I supported coaches with advanced scouting, prepared opponent reports, and collaborated with players to provide individualized development feedback.
Off the field, I’m highly competitive and love taking on new challenges, whether that’s evaluating players, finding creative ways to improve team performance, or solving tough problems with data. Outside of baseball and class, you can usually find me playing golf, hitting in the cage, playing College Football or Out of the Park Baseball, or reading books like Future Value and Every Shot Counts.
My ultimate goal is to make a meaningful impact in professional baseball, combining my passion for the game with my skills in analytics and technology. If you’d like to connect or talk baseball, analytics, or anything in between, feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn, by email, or by phone, I’d love to chat!
