Player Analysis and Scouting Reports
I create scouting reports and player analyses both for coaches and for my own development as an evaluator. Using tools like TrackMan, BATS, and video review, I break down player performance, tendencies, and metrics to generate actionable insights. Whether it’s for game planning, player development, or just for fun, I enjoy combining objective data with my own observations to get a complete picture of a player.
Below is a link to the interactive Tableau dashboard I created for the Santa Barbara Foresters during the 2025 offseason. This tool centralized our team’s data — including player performance metrics, trends, and development reports — to give coaches and players an easy way to track progress and focus on improvement areas throughout the season.

2024 MLB Draft Mock & Player Analysis
-
1st Overall, Cleveland Guardians select
Charlie Condon, OF - Georgia
LOUD contact, power to all sides of field, good bat to ball ability, shown he can handle velocity, delivers with RISP, low fastball swing and miss, above average arm and good accuracy from outfield
High swing/miss on sliders and curveballs, not the smoothest on the basepaths, not the best fielder
WHY? Cleveland has taken college players in 3 of the last 5 drafts. Have seemed to prioritize high contact rates early in the draft. This could lead to a Travis Bazzana selection, but the raw power and upside of Condon could alter Cleveland’s draft trends.
-
2nd Overall, Cincinnati Reds select
Nick Kurtz, 1B - Wake Forest
Excellent plate awareness and discipline, plus power to all sides of the field, covers the plate well but can be beaten up and down and away. Solid fielder. High floor.
Not the fastest but not necessary for first base.
-
3rd Overall, Colorado Rockies select
Hagen Smith, LHP - University of Arkansas
Power left-handed arm with solid command of all three of his pitches. High Miss rate on his slider that sits around 87 with great shape and life. Four seam sits between 2200 to 2600 rpms, and gets beat by righties away and lefties inside. Slider gets beat middle-middle but anything down tends to generate swing and miss. Splitter has great action and generates swing and miss down and away from righties. Good feel for all his pitches and misses barrels.
Action is repeatable and arm slot and action is similar to Madison Bumgarner’s low ¾.
-
4th Overall, Oakland Athletics select
Travis Bazzana, 2B - Oregon State University
Solid bat to ball/barrel control, small frame but compact swing provides plus power for his size, highest floor in the draft (?), mostly pull hitter, does damage middle-middle, destroys fastballs
Slightly struggled in the 2024 postseason, what’s his ceiling(?), can get beat inside and down and away
-
5th Overall, Chicago White Sox select
Braden Montgomery, OF - Texas A&M
Smooth swing from both sides of the plate, plus power, great arm, high barrel rate, profiles best as a right fielder at the next level
Struggles against CH/SPL (.194 BA), chases low, not much of a threat on the bases
-
6th Overall, Kansas City Royals select
Jac Caglianone, 1B/LHP - Florida
Hitting: No true weakness to any pitch, extreme power, miss rate low but high swing rate, anything in the zone is a mistake. Hit tool is better than pitcher ability.
-
7th Overall, St. Louis Cardinals select
JJ Wetherholt, SS/2B - West Virginia
Great barrel % over career, hits ball hard with consistent contact, high hit tool with power upside. Not sure if he can stick with shortstop.
